Jessie Jean (Cotton) Berry, 92, of DeQuincy, passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2025. She was born to her late parents, Richard and Elma Cotton on May 16, 1933 in Robeline. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and would do flower arrangements for the church for many years. Most of all, she loved taking care and spending time with her family, whom she loved very much.
She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Berry (Dianne) of Longville, and Randy Berry (Diane) of DeQuincy; four grandchildren, Sarah Brawdy (Alan), Greg Berry (Kaci), Megan Gallien (Matt), and Garrett Berry; along with five great-grandchildren.
Jessie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, W. F. Berry; parents; along with her siblings, Richard, Jr., Walter, Clem, Dock, Tom, Winnie, Gracie, Lucille, Nena, Lula, and Louvina.
A Graveside Celebration of Jessie’s life was held at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy on Friday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., with Bro. Vance Perkins officiating.
Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
