Tigers crush Oberlin

By Jake McCoy

Last Friday, the DeQuincy Fighting Tigers traveled to central Allen Parish to play the Oberlin Tigers. It did not take long for DeQuincy to get on the board as their offense moved down the field at will with the scoring drive being capped off with Ty LaVergne running in from a yard out. LaVergne would also score on a 57 yard run early in the game. This really opened up the passing game as quarterback Grant Rainwater was 8 for 11. He threw for 117 yards including a pair of touchdown passes to wide receiver Koby Pool from 7 and 53 yards out.

Nigile Ceasar also had a fantastic night running the football with three touchdowns.

The Tigers’ defense swarmed the ball all night forcing Oberlin to make mistakes and stalled their drives.
Overall it was a total team win!
