?REGULAR MEETING ??F THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF DEQUINCY, LA HELD ON JUNE 10, 2025
AT THE OFFICE LOCATED AT 500 S GRAND AVENUE,
DEQUINCY, LA
The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on June 10, 2025 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Amber Landry, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: Tracey Brown, Diana DeLoach
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from May 13, 2025 were reviewed. Amber Landry made a motion to approve the minutes and Lynne Treme seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial report for April 2025 was presented and discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Amber Landry seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
An update on the plumbing at 103 Acme was given. The inside slab was busted up, repairs made, and new concrete poured. After a heavy cleaning, new flooring will be installed in the bathroom.
The HUD notice on interest earned on Operating Funds was presented and discussed.
The twelve buildings on Logan Lane will have the exterior repainted. The front and back of each building, the fascia boards and all trim will be painted with the existing color (red). If any of the porch post are damaged/rotten, we will also replace them.
The pump on the drain system on Logan Lane has gone out. We contacted Marshland Enterprise to see if the pump is under warranty since it is less than a year old. We are waiting to hear back from Barrett Hebert about the warranty. The pump will need to be replace.
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
