Betty Ritter Dubois was born Dec. 13, 1935, and passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 89.
Betty was a school bus driver for Beauregard Parish for 15 years and served as a 4-H leader for the South Beauregard area for 20+ years. She had a passion for her community and the children and was involved in as much as she could.
She is survived by her son, Roderick Ritter; granddaughter, Natocha Ritter (Jill); grandson, Texster Ritter; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Dylan, and Jordan; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kinsey Ritter; second husband, Alee Dubois; and third husband, Tommy Lee; daughter, Melissa Steffen; son, Damon “Tuffy” Ritter; parents, Offord and Blanche Fruge Miller; and 11 siblings.
The family will receive friends and family from 5 – 8 p.m., Friday, July 11, and continuing from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 12, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Pastor Gregory Gaspard will be officiating. Interment to follow at Cole Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
