Melvin Joseph Savoy, 86, of DeQuincy passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. He was born in Midland.
He is survived by his children, Ruth Savoy and Nathan Savoy, both of Houston, Texas, Vivian Elkins of Iowa and Melvin Joseph Savoy, Jr.; along with nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Azelida Savoy; son, Donald Savoy, and two brothers
A Celebration of his life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
