THE CITY of DeQuincy is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified Architectural, Engineering, or Design firms interested in providing professional design services for the New Box Hangar Project located at the DeQuincy Industrial Airpark. Interested parties may obtain the full RFQ packet, including submission requirements and evaluation criteria, by visiting dequincyairport.com or by contacting Kyle Rainwater, Airport Manager at Kylerainwater@dequincy.org or (337) 660-3488. Statements of Qualifications must be received no later than 5PM on June 19th, 2025. CITY COUNCIL May 1, 2025

THE CITY Council of the City of DeQuincy met in a special session on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at DeQuincy City Hall, 300 N. Holly Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana, with the following members present: Scott Wylie, Jim Smith, Eddy Dahlquist, and Margaret Brown. Absent: Cameron Smith.
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Eddy Dahlquist, and the roll was called with the above result.
A motion was made by Scott Wylie and seconded by Jim Smith to amend the agenda to add a variance for Floyd Bullitt to stay in a Travel Trailer on property he owns at 940 Smith Street. All approved
No public input or comments.
A motion was made by Margaret Brown and seconded by Jim Smith to approve the 2025 Beer/
Liquor License application submitted by LaRumba of DeQuincy DBA Blue Iguana at 905 4th Street.
Without objection, the motion was carried.
A motion was made by Jim Smith and seconded by Scott Wylie to approve an 18-month variance
for Floyd Bullitt to stay in a travel trailer at 940 Smith Street while his home is being repaired
from a fire. Without objection, the motion was carried.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Scott Wylie and
seconded by Margaret Brown to adjourn the meeting.
