Thor McCaughey was born Feb. 19, 1961, and passed away Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2025, at the age of 64.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Amanda McCaughey; children, Jacob McCaughey and Zane McCaughey; parents, Don and Lorraine McCaughey; siblings, Cass McCaughey and wife Regina, Brett McCaughey and wife Tammy and Fara Cloud and husband Shannon; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, Apr. 25, at Vinton Methodist Church, 1100 Horridge St., Vinton. Pastor Jody Robert and Rev. Rob Tibbitts officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
