David “Buddy” Clark was born Jan. 31, 1943, and passed away Sunday, Apr. 20, 2025, at the age of 82.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandy Clark; children, Stacia Clark Mitchell and husband David, and April Clark Fruge and husband Shawn; grandchildren, Brooksey Mitchell, Marley Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, Breeanna Mitchell, Madlyn Mitchell, Jaxson Mitchell, Allie Fruge, and Shelby Fruge; sister, Faith Poe; sisters-in-law, Jackie Royer and Connie Gobep; and brothers-in-law, Bill Dowers Sr. and J. W. Dowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardell and Ruby Droddy Clark.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Thursday, Apr. 24, with the funeral service being held at 11 a.m., Friday, Apr. 25, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Donnis Ashworth, Rev. Mark Schultz, and Rev. Clyde Clark will be officiating. Interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
