William “Randy” Barks was born May 8, 1959, and passed away Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2025, at the age of 65.
Randy enjoyed going to car shows, drag racing, and going to different events. He also enjoyed watching his grandson at sporting events. More than anything he loved being with his family. Randy loved his grandchildren and his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sonya Barks; daughter, Alex Kenna and husband Jacob; son, Axel Barks; grandchildren, Hudson Kenna and Kate Kenna; brother, Joseph Barks and wife Anita; sister, Kimberly Barks; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buck Barks; and mother, Shirley Barks.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., Sunday, Mar. 30, at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Bancroft. Rev. Mike Streams and Rev. Jeremy Shields officiated.
Interment followed at Barrow Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
