Gwen Clark was born Aug. 12, 1951, and passed away Thursday, Mar. 20, 2025, at the age of 73.
She is survived by her children, Eddie Smith and wife Bridget, Randy Smith and wife Angel; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry West, Bruce West and wife Laulra Faye, Jan Vaclavik and husband Terry, and Mary Powell and husband Phil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold West and Elva Arledge West; daughter, Tammie Smith; siblings, Billy West, LeRay West, Randal West, Curtis West and Dale West.
Pallbearers will be Walter Powell, Kenny Sheppard, Jason Sheppard, Dale Smith, Adam Smith, Randy Smith Jr.; and Honorary Pallbearer Kason Sheppard.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Heart of Hospice for all of the care they provided and a thank you to Pastor Rob Tibbitts for his care and support to their family.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Mar. 22, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Vinton. Pastor Rob Tibbitts officiated. Interment followed at West Family Cemetery in Vinton.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
