Rhonda Lynette Musgrove, 56, passed away on Monday, Mar. 10, 2025 in a local hospital.
She was a native and lifelong resident of DeQuincy and a graduate of DeQuincy High School. After high school she received her LPN from Sowela Technical School then went on to receive her RN from Lamar State College. She was employed for 25 years at DeQuincy Memorial Hospital, previously serving as the Director of Nursing for 17 years, and then most recently was the Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program. Rhonda enjoyed horseback riding and had previously competed in events with the Westlake Riding Club. She thoroughly loved spending time with her family at Toledo Bend, especially with her son, Kole, who was her world.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Jeff Musgrove; her son, Kole Musgrove; her mother, Norma Jean Thompson Patterson; and her sister, Wendy Patterson, all of DeQuincy; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Dale Patterson.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 13, in The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. Pastor Wayne Neyland will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Evan Googe, Grant Googe, Kale Deal, Kanin Deal, Doug Mitchell, and Kenny Pharis.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the time of service Thursday in the church. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
