Lady Tigers fall to Vinton
The DeQuincy Lady Tigers Basketball team played their final district game of the season last Tuesday against the Vinton Lady Lions at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles. The game was neck and neck a majority of the way. However Vinton made an adjustment in the 4th quarter that would ultimately propel them over the Lady Tigers by a score of 30-21.
Da’Nasha Griffin led the scoring for the Lady Tigers with 9 points, Jada Decloutte had 6 points, and Onnie Remedies had 6 points.
Tigers can’t keep up with Lions
The DeQuincy Tigers Boys Basketball team played the Vinton Lions at the Legacy Center at McNeese last Tuesday. It was a rough night for DeQuincy as Vinton’s press defense overwhelmed the Tigers and limited DeQuincy to just 33 points in the night as Vinton won the game 64-33.
Lindsey Joyce had 10 points, M.J. Clark had 9, Conner Snell had 9, Landon Joyce had 3, and Cam Joyce had 2.
