Jerry Wayne Snider Sr. was born in Lufkin, Texas and passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 at his home.
He and his wife first settled in Palestine, Texas then moved to Lake Charles. In 1971, he began his career with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he worked for over four decades as a salesman then as Regional Director.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Savant Snider of Moss Bluff; three children: Jerry Snider Jr. (Hope Lowery) of Lake Charles, Lesa Delaunais (Stephan) of Denham Springs, and Julie LeBert (Jason) of Moss Bluff; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Snider of Moss Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend D.R. and Ruby Snider; and two brothers.
A celebration service was held Monday, Feb. 10, at the Apostolic Temple Pentecostal Church. Pastor Ricky Treece, along with several others, officiated. Burial followed on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Green Oaks Cemetery in Kinder under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
