Tamra “Tammy” Foster was born Mar. 27, 1966, and passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at the age of 58. Tammy enjoyed spending her free time shopping. She loved her grandchildren, and she spoiled them any time she got the chance. She also loved her best friend, Jill S. Parker. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children Jeffrey Rainwater and Christopher Rainwater; grandchildren, Kaylee Warren, Hunter Warren, Juliette Rainwater, Lyles “JuJu”, Baylie Rogers, Christopher Rainwater and Hannah Rainwater; great-grandchildren, Aloura Wonner, Oaklyn Henderson and Emersyn Belcher; siblings, Arkie Parker, Harold “June Bug” Parker, Jimmy Parker and wife Mary Ann Parker, Curtis Parker and wife Moretta Parker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Miranda Rainwater; parents, Clarence Burnett and Norma Burnett; daughter in-law, Kristina Rainwater; and sister, Margaret “Mag” Quinn.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Oretta Pentecostal Church and the funeral service began at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. Bro. Dustyn Rose officiated. Interment followed at Oretta Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
