Margretta Shirley Rougeou was born Sept. 7, 1957, and passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at the age of 67.
She is survived by her children, Sabrina Beaty and husband Billy, James Ramsdell, and Jacob Ramsdell and wife Ellan; grandchildren, Daphne Kleven, Jett Olney, Thomas Adams, Allimae Howard, Jacob Ramsdell Jr., John Ramsdell, Emma Ramsdell, Nicole Robe, William “Boogie” Beaty, Joshua Ramsdell, Joseph Ramsdell, Jeremiah Ramsdell, Eden Ramsdell, and Nariah Ramsdell; great-grandchildren, Cayden Melton and Alivia Menard; siblings, Jolene Doyle, Katherine Bushnell, Syvella Jackson and husband Wayne, Clarence Shirley, and LaBreeska Hall and husband Randy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ivy Marie Shirley; father, Herman Shirley; and siblings, Loretta Yancey, Marsha Martin, and Larry Burnitt.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, continuing from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 20, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Carlton Jackson Jr. will be officiating. Interment to follow at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
