Kendall Brian Howard was born Nov. 25, 1966, and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at the age of 57. Kendall enjoyed sports, especially Port Neches Groves Indians and the LSU Tigers. His favorite things to eat were steak, mashed potatoes, and Kyra’s potato salad. Any time he got the chance he would want to go to H-E-B. Kendall loved his six dogs and cat. More than anything, he loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Devan Howard (Kyra), Morgan Rutledge (Tyler), and Ashley Howard (Caitlyn); grandchildren, Kaydence Howard and Grayson Howard; siblings, Keith Howard (Kathy), and Mona Ellis (Brian); sister-in-law, Diane Howard; along with numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Diddy” Howard Sr. and Mary Evans Miller Howard; and brother, James “Jimmy” Howard Jr.
The family received friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, and continued from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11, at First Pentecostal Church in Starks. Interment followed at Miller Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
