Debra “Debi” Shearer was born Sept. 2, 1963, and passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at the age of 61. Debi loved fishing, playing board games, making crafts, taking rides with her dog, and drinking iced coffee. She loved people and enjoyed socializing with whoever she could. Most of all, she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Brittany Duhon and husband Jason, Samuel Shearer and wife Amber, and Mandy Shearer; grandchildren, Colston Duhon, Kately Duhon, and Lennox Duhon; siblings, Mark Shearer and Vicki Langley; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Shearer; mother, Katherine Shearer; and nephew, Mark Shearer II.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church in Moss Bluff.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
