Jaydan Templet

Jaydan Paul Templet was born May 8, 1993, and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at the age of 31. He graduated top of his class in 2011 from DeQuincy High School and in 2015 from McNeese State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He enjoyed playing video games with his favorite cousin, Marcy, listening to music, and watching scary movies. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews and being their “Funcle”. He always lit up when they were around. Jaydan had the biggest heart and sweetest soul. His goal in life was to rid the world of hate. He emitted love in all that he did. He went out of his way to help others and make sure others were taken care of. He made a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and always sought to spread hope to those in need. He had such a deep love for his family and an unbreakable bond with his mom and grandma.

He is survived by his father, Laben Paul Templet Jr. (Kristi); mother, Melony Parker Loupe (Heath); sisters, Paiton Andrepont Mire (Nate), and Lauren Nicole Loupe (Sydney); brothers, Heath Loupe Jr. and Kaggen Jospeh Loupe; nieces and nephews, Bailey, Hannah, Riley, Shiloh, Macy, Amelia, Skylar, Greyson, Dani, and Rowan; grandmother, Connie Sue Templet; and grandmother, Pamela Loupe; along with numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Laben Paul Templet Sr.; maternal grandparents, Monroe and Lorraine Parker; brother-in-law, Bowie Andrepont; uncles, James Parker, David Parker, and Hansel Parker; aunt, Lena Parker, and cousin, Charles Ray Taylor II (baby Charles).

The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. Visitation continued from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Neyland officiated. Interment followed at Oretta Cemetery in Singer.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St, DeQuincy.
