South Beauregard wins state championship

The South Beauregard Golden Knights captured their 2nd baseball state championship in school history this past Friday with a 7-4 victory over the Sterlington Panthers.

Layden Sepulvado had a big day at the plate going 3-4 including a 2 RBI triple in the bottom of the 6th to put the game on ice!

Clayton Folks got the start on the mound for the Knights pitching 4.2 innings and recorded 8 strikeouts, Brycen Dartez pitched 2.1 innings and recorded 2 strikeouts.

Gunner Courtney went 1-3, Layden Sepulvado went 3-4 with 4 RBIs, and Luke Brister went 1-4 with 2 RBIs.

Congratulations to Coach Jeremy Deville and his staff on yet another great season!
