It was a bittersweet night for the DeQuincy Lady Tigers as they looked to complete the sweep over the Rosepine Lady Eagles. However, that did not go as planned as Rosepine’s two homeruns, made the difference in the ball game as they would upset DeQuincy taking at least a share of the district championship. However these girls still have a lot to be proud of as this is the programs first district championship since 2014 and ironically, DeQuincy had split with Rosepine that year as well so regardless, whether it’s outright or a share, this district championship was definitely overdue for this great program!
Maddie Vinatieri was 1-3, Emily Cooley was 1-3 with an RBI, Onnie Remedies was 1-4 with an RBI, Aubree Royer was 2-3, and Bella Moore was 1-3 with an RBI.
