Tommy Shelby Rigmaiden was born Sept. 29, 1956, and passed away Thursday, Mar. 26, 2026, at the age of 69.
He was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, riding horses, going on trail rides, and camping under the open sky. Whether by the water or on a quiet trail, he felt most at peace surrounded by nature. He will be remembered for his love of the land, his adventurous spirit, and the time he shared with family and friends doing the things he loved most.
He is survived by his children, Clint Rigmaiden and wife Mandy, and Tara Isbell and husband Shane; five grandchildren; sister, Theresa Myers; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Rigmaiden; parents, Shelby Rigmaiden and Mary Ludell Burgess; and sister, Myra Kay Rigmaiden.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m., Monday, Mar. 30, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Bro. Dalton Isbell officiated.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Spring Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
