2026 Railroad Festival Schedule

The 43rd Louisiana Railroad Days Festival will be held Thursday through Saturday, Apr. 9-11.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday, Mar. 28

10 a.m. – 2025 LA Railroad Days Little Pageant – ages 0-14 (CrossPoint Community Church Gym, formerly DeQuincy Methodist Church)

Thursday, Apr. 9

4:30 p.m. – Festival Opening Ceremony featuring: Rhenly Hungerford and Hank Howard

5 p.m. – Vender Booths Open, Carnival Rides Open, Model Train Show

5:30 – 6 p.m.Children’s Events Begin Pre-K through 5th Grade, Scavenger Hunt Begins for 6th – 8th Grade

7 p.m. – 2026 LA Railroad Days Pageant – ages 15-23

11 p.m. – Festival Closes

Friday, Apr. 10

12 p.m. – Festival Opens, Vender Booths Open, Model Train Show, Music by Deep South Productions

1 p.m. Carnival Rides Open

2 p.m. – Parade Line-Up (Behind Popeye’s)

3 p.m. – Parade Begins

3:45 p.m. – Introduction of 2026 Festival Royalty, Parade Marshal/DFSL Club Women of the Year

5 p.m. Singer Junior High Choir

5:30 p.m. – Children’s Events

5:30 p..m – Scavenger Hunt for 6th-8th Grade

5:30-6 p.m. – Pre-K – Kindergarten

6-6:30 p.m. – 1st-3rd Grade

6:30-7 p.m. – 4th-5th Grade

Children’s events are sponsored by DeQuincy Federated Service League and DeQuincy Memorial Hospital.

6 p.m. – Gospel Night featuring local talent

7-8:15 p.m. Headliners

Louisiana All-State Choir

11 p.m. – Festival Closes

Saturday, Apr. 11

8:30 a.m. – Run The Rails! 5K Fun Run/Walk, sponsored by Our Lady of LaSalette Youth

9 a.m. – Festival Opens, Vender Booths Model Train Show

9 a.m. – Bling Your T-Shirt/Outfit Contest

10 a.m. Carnival Rides Open

10 a.m. – Old Timers Reunion at CrossPoint Community Church Gym (formerly DeQuincy Methodist Church)

10 a.m. Railroad Idol

11:30 a.m. – Recognition of Queens and Dignitaries

12 p.m. – Washer Board Tournament

12-1 p.m. – Gumbeaux Gator

12-1:30 p.m. – HeartAche

2-3:30 p.m. – Spare Parts Band

4-5:30 p.m. – Gerard Delafose & The Zydeco Gators

6-7:30 p.m. – Butch Tinker & Friends

8-9:30 Casey Chesnutt
