Terry Lee Schexnider, 58, of Singer, passed away on Monday, Mar. 2, 2026.
Terry is survived by a large and loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Scallon; grandchildren, Hallie, Bella, and Cade; mother, Margie Schexnicer; brother, Don Schexnider and wife Kathy; nieces and nephews, Doug, Kristen (Justice), Dakota (Will), and Alissa (Furman); along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He has gone to join his father, Harold “Sonny” Schexnider; his sister, Sheryl Schexnider; and his niece, Layken Schexnider, on the streets of gold. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Loretta Carlin, Ivey Schexnider, and Leona Babineaux Johnson.
The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 3, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Mar. 4, at Oretta Pentecostal Church, 185 Missouri St, Singer. Pastor Dustyn Rose and Bro. Mike Streams of Brushy Creek Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Oretta Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
