Montanna Yuengel

Montanna Scott Yuengel, 24, gained his angel wings on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.

Montanna was born in Conroe, Texas on May 7, 2001. He attended Willis High School, then Mystros Barber Academy to achieve his barber license, in hopes of someday having his own shop. Montanna would volunteer to cut hair for the homeless, group homes, and kids in underprivileged areas.

Montanna was an avid animal lover—from fish, to snakes, to hedgehogs and pit bulls, he would light up at the chance of having a new pet. Montanna also loved fishing, cutting hair, and spending time with his son.

Montanna is survived by his son, Kaden Yuengel; father, Anthony Yuengel and wife Tamara; mother, Melody Yuengel; brothers, Matthew Forson and wife Amanda and Marc Forson and wife Hannah; sister, Makayla Yuengel and husband Bronson Bullock; grandfather, Robert Yuengel; grandmother, Diane Cowart; nieces and nephews, Raelynn Bullock, Brennex Bullock, Kannon Cramer, Konan Cramer, Klaire Cramer, Kathryn Cramer, Kallum Cramer, Elis Forson, and Franklin Forson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rodney Cowart; uncle, Marty Forson; and grandmother, Brenda Yuengel.

The family received friends from 4 until the time of the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, at Abundant Life Church in Willis, Texas. Pastor Dave Stovall officiated.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
