Jimmy Gale McCaig of DeRidder was born Apr. 8, 1942, and passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the age of 83.
Jimmy served in the United States Air Force and retired from Fort Polk where he was employed as a comptroller. He loved spending time traveling, hunting and fishing.
Jimmy is survived by his brother, Jerry McCaig and wife Jean of DeQuincy, and his sister, Bessie Chelette of Port Arthur, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mann “Bo” McCaig; mother, Goldie McCaig Nichols; brother, Merle L. McCaig; and sister, Joy Mae Lambert.
Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W Fourth St., DeQuincy.
