Dolores “Dee” Hobbie Jordan of Ragley died Wednesday Jan.14, 2026, at the age of 89.
She was born in Sulphur. She grew up in the Sulphur Mines area, attended Sulphur High School, and later earned her master’s degree from McNeese State University. She dedicated her career to teaching at W. T. Henning Elementary School in Sulphur.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ragley, where she attended Mass and Bible study for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Aline Hobbie; and daughter, Pamela Clarke.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jordan; brother, Butch Hobbie; and sister, Joyce Greenslade. She is also survived by her son, Larry Jordan (Barbara); her daughter, Debbie Davis (Jerry); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 19, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Okla.
Graveside services and burial were held Thursday, Jan. 22, at Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ragley.
