Timothy Tramel

Timothy “Joel” Tramel was born June 27, 1960 and passed away Friday. Nov. 28, 2025, at the age of 65.

Timothy was an avid hunter and loved spending time outdoors. He was a country boy at heart and loved some good southern rice and gravy. He was stubborn, but he loved his precious fur babies, Tuffy Girl and Shorty. He worked many years at Turner Industries as well as Austin Industries. Timothy was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle “Shelly” Tramel; son, Andrew “Andy” Tramel and wife Alana; grandchildren, Ashton Tramel and Austin Tramel; sister, Jamie LeBlanc husband Chad LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Delma Perkins; brothers-in-law, Brian Perkins and wife Camille, and Burt Perkins; sister-in-law, Tammy Kimata husband Glen; God Mother, Rose Marie “Nanny” Johnson; and nieces, Maddison LeBlanc and Ani Kimata.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Leona Tramel.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, with a funeral service to be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Reed Chapel, at Riley Smith and Sons, 315 North 14th St., in Kinder. Rev. Mike Streams and Bro. Dustin Perkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
