Singer High School Students of the Year

Singer High School’s High School Student of the Year is Paislee Kate Hamilton, a dedicated 17-year-old senior who has attended Singer since kindergarten.

Hamilton is the daughter of Zane and Shelli Hamilton and the younger sister of one brother, Maverick.

Maintaining a 4.0 GPA, she also excels in dual enrollment courses, skillfully balancing high school and college-level studies. She currently serves as president of both the student council and the senior class, helping organize events, support student initiatives, and promote school spirit. She is also a member of the Beta Club, where she contributes to academic and community service projects.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, volunteering at her church, and staying involved in various activities.

In the future, Hamilton plans to continue her education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, where she aspires to become a teacher.

Charleigh Kate Zaunbrecher has been named Singer High School’s 8th grade Student of the Year.

Zaunbrecher is the 13-year-old daughter of Heather Lyons and Bennett Zaunbrecher. She is the oldest of for children.

She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to her academic accomplishments, she participates in numerous extracurricular activities. She plays Jr. High and High School softball and basketball at Singer, and she also plays Travel Ball. She is a member of Beta, 4-H, Student Council, Robotics Team, Saving for Singer and the SHARE Volunteer Group. She loves to volunteer because she knows how important it is to help people and the community.

In her free time, she loves to be outside, playing sports, riding her bike, traveling and working at her dad’s restaurant.

After high school, Zaunbrecher plans to attend Northwestern State University to major in Business Economics and focus on data and analysis within the IT industry. She is hopeful to continue her softball career for Northwestern, also.

Robert Croix Suchanek, son of Demp and Kristin Suchanek, has been named Singer High School’s Elementary Student of the Year.

Suchanek is in the 5th grade and currently serves as both the Elementary BETA president and the 4-H president. He was a member of the 2025-26 Jr. High Basketball team and has played football, baseball, and basketball for sixyears. In addition to sports, he enjoys hunting, fishing, competing in 4-H skeet shooting, traveling, and spending time with his big brother, Cyrus.

In the future, Suchanel intends to continue playing hard and working harder.
