The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on September 23, 2025 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Tracey Brown, Amber Landry, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: Diana DeLoach
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from August 12, 2025 were reviewed. Amber Landry made a motion to approve the minutes and Tracey Brown seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial reports for July 2025 and August 2025 were presented and discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
Three quotes to replace the kitchen cabinets in two units (115 Acme and 209 Logan) were received from BlueOx Construction, Cryer Custom Woodworking, and Sparta Development LLC. After discussion, Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the bid from Cryer Custom Woodworking to replace the kitchen cabinets in two units. Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved, motion carried. Res # 1034
A list of outstanding debts owed in the amount of $968 for FYE 9/30/2025 was presented and discussed. Tracey Brown made a motion to write-off the outstandings debts owed and Lynne Treme seconded the motion. All approve, motion carried. Res # 1035
Items removed from inventory for FYE 9/30/2025 was presented and discussed. After discussion, Lynne Treme made a motion to write-off the items removed from inventory and Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved, motion carried. Res # 1036
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
