Louis C. Pool entered the Earth on July 27, 1977, and touched the sky on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at the age of 48.
Louis had a love that extended to all of his family and loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, loyalty, and joy. He enjoyed listening to music and watching sports, especially the New Orleans Saints. He loved his family and his cat, Jolene. More than anything he took great pride in his son, Dallon. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Dallon Pool; mother of his child, Ariel Pool; siblings, Brian Pool, Robert Pool, Cassandra Gibbs, Jayson Dehart, and Lakisha Pool; his significant other, Becky Smith Thompson; stepmother, Brenda Pool; bonus father, H. L. Perkins; along with the Burgess and Boudreaux family, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Pool and Barbara Burgess; stepfather, Dale Boudreaux; brothers, Clifton Boudreaux and Zane Boudreaux; grandmother, JoAnn Burgess; and grandfather, Carl “Scratch” Burgess.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
