The DeQuincy Tigers’ frustration continues after dropping their third consecutive game this time at home against Jonesboro-Hodge in the final non-district game of the season.
DeQuincy’s defense played exceptional. However the Tigers’ offense could not get much going. But in the third quarter, the Tigers’ defense would give their offense some life with an interception by defensive back Landon Joyce that would set up a beautiful drive that was capped off with a touchdown pass from Turner Rodriguez to Jeremy Gatlin from 5 yards out. That touchdown would be the only one of the night for the home standing DeQuincy Tigers. After that the next few offensive drives would stall and prevent the Tigers from making a comeback.
