Bean Bag Baseball Match of the Year – DeQuincy Police vs. Toot Toots

By Major Jerry Bell, DQPD Public Affairs Officer

Bean Bag Baseball Match of the Year! If you had been at the Ward Six Recreation Center last Tuesday, Oct. 7, around 9:30 a.m. you could have witnessed a great Bean Bag Baseball match. It was DeQuincy Toot Toots against the DeQuincy Police Dept.

Around 9:15 a.m., the boys and girls in blue left the PD with high hopes of bringing home a win. However, it was not to be. The Toot Toots won the game 17-11; it was a blow-out. The blue team returned to the PD with their heads down low, one officer complained that we did not even get a participation trophy.

Another officer stated that at least we got a great breakfast. Chief Annojo Haynes stated, “just wait until next time, we want a rematch.” Officer Randy Henry went home and started building a bean bag box to practice on. It was a great time for all, but best for the Toot Toots.
