DeQuincy Middle School has recognized Linda Owens as this year’s Teacher of the Year.
As a Resource and Inclusion Math teacher, Owens consistently goes above and beyond to support students, collaborate with staff, and contribute to school-wide activities. Her commitment to helping every student succeed, willingness to assist colleagues, and her steady presence at school events make a meaningful difference in our school community. This recognition is well-earned, and DMS is grateful to have her on their team.
DeQuincy Middle School has recognized Damien Pelton as Support Staff of the Year.
As a dedicated campus security guard, Pelton takes the safety and well-being of our students and staff seriously every single day. His strong relationships with students, steady presence on campus and commitment to creating a safe environment make a lasting impact. Beyond his security role, he also serves as an assistant football coach, showing his support for students both in and out of the classroom. DMS is thankful for Pelton’s reliability, leadership and positive energy he brings to our school community.
