Vige’ retires after 30 years from Water District No. 7

Eric Vige’, recently retired after 30 years of dedicated service to Water District No. 7 in DeQuincy as their General Manager.

On Saturday, Aug. 23, he was honored with a retirement dinner and reception at Bible Baptist Church attended by co-workers, family and friends.

He was presented a custom cake made by Brenda Vige depicting a water storage tank.

Vige’ stated, “From the very first day I started until my last, there has not been one single day that I did not want to go to work. It has been an honor to have all my customers trust me and and take care of your water system. 30 years, didn’t it go by in a blink!”

Vige’ was presented with a glass water drop sculpture with the following inscription, “Forever Indebted For Your Unwavering Dedication And Commitment To Going Above and Beyond 1995-2025.” His future plans include spending time at a vacation home in Arkansas.

Derek Davis has been promoted as the new General Manager.
