The 2025 DeQuincy Fighting Tigers football team will start their preseason this Thursday Aug. 21. They’ll head across the Sabine River and hop on I-10 to Winnie, Texas where they’ll face the Class 3A East Chambers Buccaneers in a controlled scrimmage.
The Tigers have not played a football contest of any sort on Texas soil since week 5 of the 1981 season when the Tigers traveled to Evadale. The Pirates got the best of the Tigers that night by a final score of 14-7.
The Tigers return 6 starters on offense and 6 on defense and will look to match or exceed last year’s 9-2 record.
We encourage everyone to come on out to Winnie, Texas and support the Tigers!
