Earl James McManus, 91, was born Mar. 4, 1934, and passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at home in The Woodlands, Texas.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Myrtle Ann Cooper McManus; his children, Stewart Jay McManus and wife Cyndie, daughter Paula Kay Cleveland and husband Shannon; grandchildren, Natalie Robertson and husband Brian, Kristen Watkins and husband Tim Jr., Cameron McManus and wife Maradi, Claire Hassell and husband Josh, and Jonathon McManus and wife Sydney; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth McManus and wife Dona; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Mary McManus; two sisters, Elenor Johnson and Edwina Thomas;, oldest son, Jimmy McManus; and one grandson, Kortland McManus.
Memorial service was held on Sunday, Aug. 3, at First Church Moss Bluff. Visitation began at 4 p.m., followed by a Service at 5 p.m. A family graveside service with military honors followed at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
