Donald D. Davis was born Jan. 3, 1943, and passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 82, in DeRidder. Affectionately known as “Don” or “Paw Paw Don”, he passed peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
He is survived by his two sons, Dean Davis and Chad Davis; grandchildren, Kailea, Trinity, Ava, Breanna, and Kade Davis; six great-grandchildren; Jerry Davis and wife Donna, Sid Davis, Randy Davis; sisters, Karen Caress, Kim Nesius, Paula Wilson, and Katie Terry; sister in-law, Chuckie Davis; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Jacob Davis and Adam Davis; parents, Harris and Gladys Davis; stepmother, Betty Davis; brothers, Gary, Geno, John, Mike, Topper; sisters, Denna, Lila Harriet, Karla, Kerri; brothers- in-law, Earl, Bob, Butch, Tony, Jimmy; sister-in-law, Jenifer, Myrna, Becky, and Carol.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Grace Church, 1021 West First St., DeRidder. Rev. George Lee Glass officiated. Interment followed at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
