Elisabeth Marcantel was born Aug. 15, 1962, and passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 62.
Elisabeth Marcantel was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith and connection. She was a devoted reader of the Bible, and she gained strength and peace through her relationship with the Lord. Elisabeth’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had a special love for anything nature, finding beauty and serenity in the world. And most of all she loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, her Savior.
She is survived by her children, Jared Marcantel and wife Abigail, Kylah Loewen and husband Peter, Remington Marcantel, Sterling Marcantel and wife Sophia; father, Roderick Martin; grandchildren, Scott, Lance, Hank, Evelynn, Josiah, and Levi; and siblings, Mike Martin and wife Michelle, Jeff Martin and wife Adriana, Cindy Webb and husband Matt, Jim Martin and wife Sherri, Rebecca Kall and husband Scott, Matt Martin and wife Christine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Marcantel; and mother, Lorraine Martin.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 18, with the funeral service being held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Beckwith Baptist, 5525 LA-27, DeRidder. Jared Marcantel, Peter Loewen, and Caleb Whalley will be officiating. The graveside will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 19, at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
