On Tuesday night, July 1, the DeQuincy Masonic Lodge held its monthly stated meeting. The members were treated to a wonderful meal and the lodge opened exactly at 7 p.m. Part of the meeting was held to honor the recognition of all those Past Masters of DeQuincy Lodge 279. Each Past Master (PM) was presented with a small gift and honored for their service to the lodge.
Those honored were: Past Masters Tom Threet, Jeff Haley, James Nash, Eddie Wellman, Scott Wylie, Major Jerry Bell, and Lanty Wylie. Each PM gave a short talk on what was accomplished when they were the master of the lodge. Also honored and presented with a certificate, the Lodge Treasurer, Brother Jimmy Henagan, who received the great honor of being voted on and receiving the Mason of the Year Award for 2024. The master of the Lodge commented that Brother Henagan has done such a great job as being the treasure of the Lodge.
The lodge closed at 8 p.m. with all the members in one accord.
