Janice Theresa Chandler, born on Jan. 13, 1943, in Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 82.
Janice was the beloved daughter of the late Sadie L. (Willis) and Jesse P. Edwards. She is now reunited in rest with her siblings, Rose M. (Edwards) Hill and Arthur D. Edwards, while lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings: Helen A. (Edwards) Jones, Frances L. (Edwards) Cook, and Jesse P. Edwards.
A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at 9:15 a.m., Monday, June 23, at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
