Sommer Evette Gallien was born June 30, 1980, and passed away Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2025, at the age of 44.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jason Gallien; beloved pets, Gustav, Freya, Merlin, and Luna; siblings, Ricky (Janie), Sherry (Pete), Olin, and Ronald (Flora); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Jackie Ashworth.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 27, and continued from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Apr. 28, at Deweyville United Pentecostal Church, 827 CR 4156 in Orange, Texas. Pastor Michael Orange officiated. Interment followed at VFW Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
