David Earl Whiddon, 91, of Merryville, died Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025. He was born in Merryville.
He was a forester. He served in the Navy.
Survivors include his wife of, Niona Boswell Whiddon of Merryville; children: Michelle Hull of DeRidder, Amanda Moore of Hathaway, Emily Moon of Merryville, Will Moon and April of Avinger, Texas; sister, Shirley Allen of Sugarland, Texas; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Earl Whiddon; parents, Archie and Ruby Meadours Whiddon; one sister; and one brother.
A memorial service was held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday, Mar. 22. He was laid to rest in Cannon Cemetery in Merryville.
