Bobby Lem Bowden was born May 14, 1934, and passed away Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025, at his home at the age of 90.
Bobby loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He enjoyed all his cattle, gardening, and working in the hayfield. Bobby found joy in being with his great-granddaughters. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Above all he loved serving the Lord and was faithful to church.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Watford and husband Bubba, and Steve Bowden; grandchildren, Michelle Fuller and husband Shawn, and Brandon Watford and wife Wendy; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Tory, and Brinly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bowden; parents, Lem and Louise Bowden; brothers, Alvin and Jerry; and sister, Shirley.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Mar. 24, at Bethel Tabernacle in Houston, Texas. Pastor David Fauss and Rev. CL Watford officiated. Interment followed at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
