Patricia “Put” Buxton was born June 5, 1942, and passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at the age of 82.
Put enjoyed fishing, canoeing, playing softball, and won many bowling trophies. She loved her family more than anything and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Todd Hebert and wife Melissa, Ted Hebert, and Ben Hebert; grandchildren, Eric Hebert, Jerette Hebert and wife Emily, Ashley Fredrick, Thad Fredrick, Luke Hebert, Jason Hebert, Lance Hebert, Jade Hebert, Amanda Mayhan, Chad Palmer, Justin Palmer, Todd Palmer, Billy Glenn Stewart, Cassie Hebert, and Bennett Hebert; great grandchildren, Cameron and Hailey; and great great-granddaughter, Lucy; along with numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Dale Buxton; granddaughter, Olivia Hebert; sons, Gerald Hebert and Kent Hebert; parents, Bufford and Bernice Rogers; and siblings, James Rogers, Edward Rogers, Ann Rogers, Nancy Rogers, and Betty Rogers.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 10, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment followed at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fouth St., DeQuincy.
