Tigers fall to Tors
The DeQuincy Tigers traveled down Highway 27 last Tuesday to take on the Sulphur Tors in non district action. The game was very close at the end of the first quarter but then the Tors showed why they are one of the best teams in the state. They pressed the Tigers all night and limited DeQuincy’s offensive production to 38 points as Sulphur defeated DeQuincy 72-38.
M.J. Clark led the scoring for the Tigers with 17 points, Lindsey Joyce had 7, Landon Joyce had 6, Cameron Joyce had 4, and Kadyn Decloutte had 4.
Tigers lose heartbreaker to East Beau
The DeQuincy Tigers hosted the East Beauregard Trojans at home last Friday in district 4-2A action. The game was back and forth the entire way and neither team could seem to really separate until late in the game when the Trojans drew a couple of fouls and made some very crucial free throws to keep the Tigers behind them for good. East Beauregard would upset DeQuincy 60-54.
