James Ethern Melton was born Feb. 6, 1953, and passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at the age of 71.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Melton; children, Jason Melton and wife, Brittany and Jessica Melton-Arcos; grandchildren, Axel, Krystal, Damion and Kylie; brothers, Melvin Melton, Tommy Melton, Billy Melton and wife, Carolyn; sisters, Lou Melton and Becky Melton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Edna Ellen Melton.
The family will be having a private service.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
