Carolyn “Kay” Marcantel, 78, was born on Sept. 10, 1946, and died at home in Vidor, Texas on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024.
She was also known as “Granny Kay”.
She is survived by her spouse, Jimmy Stout of Merryville; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Myers; sons, John Sliman and James Sliman; the father of her children, Nelby “Jim” Sliman; and parents, Elmer Marcantel and Lue Cole.
Funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 6, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Burial followed at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville.
