J. W. Harris was born Apr. 30, 1938, and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at the age of 86. J. W. was a very hard worker. When he was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and was on a square dance team with his wife.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Robin and husband Tony, Mike Harris, Glenda Harris, and Laura Hoffman; grandchildren, Chad Harris, Brandon Harris, Jonathan Harris, Hunter Robin, Michael Colton Harris, Ashlyn Lynne, David Harris, Joshua White, Amanda White, Jessica Yocham, and Shawn Saucier; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Edna McGlauchen; and brother, Tom Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Odessa Harris; brother, Bugs Harris; and daughter-in-law, Karen Harris.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
