Allen Ray Stovall was born June 18, 1936, and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at the age of 88.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Qualls and husband David, Cathy McClure, and Allen “Butch” Stovall Jr and wife Laura; grandchildren, Josh Qualls and Katie, Callie Istre and husband Jordan, Molly Morgan and husband Eric, Michael McClure and wife April, Antonio Stovall, Amanda Griffin and husband Bubby, and Dawson Stovall and fiancé Amber; 13 great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Sally Sterling; and mother of his children, Sonja Harris.
He was preceded by his wife, Mary Stovall; parents, Sim Henry Stovall and Vida Lee Rigmaiden Stovall; and sisters, Donnie Sue Hughes, Simmie Denton, and Esther Lou Lucious.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment followed at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
