Bonnie Faye Yellott Broxson was born Oct. 7, 1934, in DeQuincy, and passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in DeQuincy at the age of 90.
Bonnie enjoyed her time as a childcare provider for a number of children for many years. She was also a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church where she served in numerous positions through her faithful years.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Pharris and husband Rodney, Skeeter Broxson and wife Terry, Kim Constance and husband Mike; bonus son, Michael Hunt; grandchildren, Jennifer Tramonte and husband Jonathan, Anthony Broxson and wife Bethyn, Abranda Price and husband Jamey, Whitney Constance Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Andrew Tramonte and wife, Kaitlin, Austin Tramonte, Avery Tramonte, Sydney Price, Broxson Price, Adelyn Price, Eden Price, Oaklyn Broxson, and Deacon Broxson; sister-in-law, Joyce Mae McGrew and husband Ken; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Elmer F. Broxson; parents, Jasper “Crip” and Mary Yellott; sister, Winnie R. Magehee; and brother, Junior Yellott.
The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 and continued from 12 – 2 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 29, the funeral service began at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church, 230 Smith St. Pastor Carlton Jackson, Jr., Rev. Wayne Neyland, Rev. Danny Russo, and Rev. Andrew Tramonte officiated. Interment followed at Masonic Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
